Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Diploma-qualified lab technician in Singapore to assist engineers with planning and executing experiments, including ALD/CVD processes and data reporting. The role involves material characterization (SEM, EDX, Raman, ellipsometry) to assess film quality and uniformity, and daily lab operation support with strict EHS compliance.

Candidates with 1+ year in thin film deposition and exposure to 2D materials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant scientific/engineering field required.
• ≥1-year hands-on experience in thin film deposition is a plus.
• Experience with 2D materials such as WS2, WSe2, MoS2 or related TMDs is desirable.
• Familiarity with characterization techniques (SEM, EDX, Raman, ellipsometry) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in planning and executing experiments, including data collection and reporting.
• Perform material characterization to evaluate film quality and uniformity.
• Prepare substrates, precursors, and consumables; support daily lab operations.
• Generate internal documentation: run logs, SOPs, and technical summaries.
• Adhere to EHS protocols and safe chemical handling; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement in 2D materials development.
