Job summary

Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home in Singapore seeks a Clinical Care assistant to support therapists in providing therapy treatments, assist in assessments and treatment planning, and help monitor progress of residents. You will conduct group exercises, ensure equipment is safe, and maintain records under supervision.

You will also train caregivers, supervise volunteers, and participate in discharge preparation for home return. Local training pathways are available through WSQ/ITE programs.

Qualifications

• GCE N Level with healthcare-related training or equivalent.
• Training in WSQ/Hcourse or ITE Healthcare programs is valued.
• Ability to guide and supervise caregivers and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in providing therapy treatments including lifting, transferring and transporting patients.
• Assist occupational therapist and physiotherapist in assessment, treatment plan development and progress review.
• Evaluate, monitor and review treatment to document resident needs and progress.
• Conduct group therapeutic exercises and individualized rehabilitation under supervision.
• Attend ward rounds and meetings to discuss resident progress with caregivers and family.
• Ensure therapy equipment and tools are in good condition and functioning.
• Maintain inventory and arrange regular servicing/replacement of equipment.
• Engage in self-development through continuing education.
• Guide and train caregivers and volunteers on duties and social activities for residents.
• Provide discharge preparation training for residents returning home.
