Job summary

ABER CARE PTE. LTD. seeks a Therapy Support/Healthcare Assistant to assist elderly clients with prescribed therapeutic exercises, support physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and help maintain a safe, clean therapy environment in Singapore.

The role involves motivating elderly clients, monitoring progress, and aiding in transfers and setup for sessions, contributing to group therapy activities as needed.

Qualifications

• WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support) or NITEC in Community Care & Social Services is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Assist PT and OT with activities for geriatric clients.
• Motivate elderly to practice essential life skills with tailored positive reinforcement.
• Monitor treatment compliance and record developmental milestones or concerns.
• Assist with transferring of patients.
• Set up equipment for therapy sessions and ensure area is clean and safe.
• Observe and report elderly progress or challenges to the occupational therapist.
• Support the occupational therapist during group therapy sessions.

Education
