Job summary

Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. is seeking a Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing for Core Banking and Satellite domains. Responsibilities include test planning, design, data management, environment planning, and test closure, as well as overseeing automation and non-functional testing efforts.

You will mentor testing teams, coordinate with Product Owners, Developers, BAs and stakeholders, and drive defect management and release readiness across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electronic Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in driving strategy, planning, execution, automation and UAT.
• Expertise in Core banking domain (Securities, Payments, Corporate Actions, Derivatives, Structured Products, Forex, Lending).
• Strong understanding of Credit domain (Limit and Margins).
• Proven experience leading testing project deliveries in private banking.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in Credit Domain, Core Banking and Private Banking products.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
• Understanding of data models and reporting frameworks.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Test Manager will be responsible for managing the test strategy & planning, automation, NFR and end-to-end testing deliveries for Core Banking and Satellite domain.

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

Test planning and execution including the test design, data management, environment planning, automation, non-functional testing, regression, defect management and test closure.

Lead and mentor testing teams for functional testing, regression, automation, NFR for large projects in the core banking & satellite domain.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, stakeholders) to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

Status reporting and able to drive the defect management across multiple teams.

Ensure test coverage and quality metrics, including traceability, defect leakage, and test effectiveness.

Proactively raise issues, risks and recommend optimal solutions.

Support release activities, including regression testing, UAT coordination, test automation, load and performance testing, go/no-go decisions, and post-release validation.

Regulatory &/OR Risk Management

Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and managed closely and drive all stakeholders to deliver on time and to the required quality standards

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electonic Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field. - -

Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in driving strategy, planning, execution, automation and UAT

Expertise in Core banking domain like Securities, Payments, Corporate Actions, Derivatives, Structured Products, Forex, lending

Strong understanding of Credit domain (Limit and Margins)

Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of testing projects in a private banking domain.

Experience working in Agile methodology such as Scrum/Kanban/SAFE
