Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) Singapore invites you to join our test operations team. You will support test equipment, perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure stable production.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of wafer fab facility process control and field instruments.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiar with IT/network functionality and configuration.
• Excellent numeracy and critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and under stress.
• Experience with Tester/Prober systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Test operation and maintenance; troubleshoot testing equipment.
• Maintain calibration, PM and continuous improvement of equipment.
• Address online production test failures and analyze low yield; dispose and follow-up.
• Maintain online test equipment and accessories; dispositions for abnormalities.
• Support daily conversion with excess minimum according to customer specs.
• Identify areas for yield/quality improvements and develop methods to reduce costs.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Support Test operation and maintenance/Troubleshoot of all Testing equipment
• Responsible for test equipment maintenance, calibration, PM and improvement.
• Online production test failure and testing low yield analysis dispose and follow-up.
• Online test equipment & accessories maintain and abnormality disposition.
• Support Daily Conversion with excess minimum of Conversion Daily following the Spec of different Customer requirement
• Identify problems as well as areas for yield and quality improvements and develop methods to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing cost

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and equivalent qualification.
• Min. 1 years of related job experience
• Knowledge of wafer fab facility process control and field instrument experience.
• Equipped with skill of Linux/Unix program.
• Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiar with IT/network function and configuration.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and a high level of numeracy.
• Able to commit work rotating day and night shifts
• Strong team working skills, with an ability to motivate others and to lead or manage teams and projects.
• Able to work independently and able to handle stress effectively.
• Familiar with Tester/Prober system maintenance is a plus.
