Job summary

COMBUILDER PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a motivated Test Engineer to join the CIMS IT Project team. You will contribute to software testing to ensure quality, reliability, and conformance with requirements.

Responsibilities include manual and automated testing, API testing, defect management, test planning, and coordination with developers and business users. Candidates with 1–2 years of QA experience and exposure to Playwright or REST APIs are welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related disciplines
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in software testing or quality assurance will be advantageous.
• Candidates with internship or project experience in testing are welcome to apply.
• Experience in enterprise or government projects is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
• Execute manual test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
• Validate system functionalities, workflows, interfaces, and business processes.
• Perform end-to-end testing for web-based and integrated systems.
• Verify defect fixes and conduct re-testing activities.
• Develop, review, and maintain: Test plans, Test scenarios, Test cases, Test scripts, Test reports.
• Ensure test documentation is complete, organized, and traceable to requirements.
• Support test evidence collection and documentation for audit or governance purposes.
• Log, track, and manage defects using project tracking tools.
• Work closely with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Follow up on outstanding defects and ensure timely closure.
• Support defect triage discussions and prioritization activities.
• Support automation testing activities where applicable.
• Experience or exposure to automation tools such as Playwright will be advantageous.
• Perform basic API testing using tools such as: Postman, Swagger, REST API tools
• Validate API request/response data and integration behavior.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Developers, System Engineers, and Business Users during testing activities.
• Support SIT, UAT, deployment verification, and production validation activities.
• Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks clearly to stakeholders.
• Provide support during project implementation and operational readiness activities.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join the CIMS IT Project team. The candidate will be involved in software testing activities to ensure system quality, functionality, reliability, and compliance with project requirements.

This role is suitable for candidates who are passionate about software quality assurance, testing processes, and enterprise system implementation. Candidates with exposure to automation testing, API testing, and customer-facing environments will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities Functional & Manual Testing

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
• Execute manual test cases based on project requirements and specifications.

Technical Skills & Competencies Testing Skills

• Experience in: Manual testing, Functional testing, Regression testing, Integration testing, SIT/UAT support
• Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Experience in writing detailed and structured test cases.

API Testing

• Basic knowledge or experience in: API testing, RESTful APIs, Postman or equivalent tools
• JSON request/response validation

Defect & Test Management Tools

• Familiarity with tools such as: Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, TestRail, Confluence
