Job summary

ACP Computer Training School is seeking a Test Engineer to lead end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system. You will drive test planning, analyze requirements, and design and execute test cases across the full development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering.
• 5+ years in testing and test automation across devices and/or back-office systems.
• 3+ years of testing on Windows operating systems.
• Experience in Unix/Linux, embedded systems, or cloud testing is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Software testing certification preferred.
• Experience with Micro-payments / AFC systems and diverse test phases.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools with security plugins like Confluence, Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD is advantageous and API security testing knowledge is a plus.

Job description

The scope of Test Engineer shall include the following:

• Responsible for the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system;
• Carrying out the activities in the testing lifecycle including test planning, analyzing business and system requirements;
• Preparing the test environment, designing and developing the test cases, executing the test procedures;
• Automating the test solution based on the system design using scripting or programming languages as well as performance tuning;
• Creating traceability to requirements, analysing gaps and addressing them;
• Logging and tracking defects to closure;
• Conducting test reviews with internal and external stakeholders;
• Performing root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, address test gaps to ensure test efficiency;
• Developing design documents and user manuals which would effectively describe and provide clear instructions on the test automation solution to the end users who include testers and stakeholders; and
• Implementing and maintaining automated testing pipelines within
• DevSecOps frameworks to integrate comprehensive testing (functional, performance, and basic security testing) throughout the development lifecycle

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering;
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in executing testing and developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment;
• At least 3 years of testing experience on Windows operating systems;
• Experience in testing on Unix/Linux or Embedded systems or cloud-based testing environments would be an added advantage;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;
• Certification in software testing preferred;
• Experience in Micro-payments/Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing) would be an advantage;
• Experience in DevSecOps tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms with security plugin integration would be an advantage; and Experience with API security testing automation and microservices security validation would be an advantage.
