Job summary

Zenith Infotech (S) PTE LTD. seeks a seasoned Software Tester to lead end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system, including smart card and back-office components.

You will own test lifecycle, design automation scripts, and build CI/CD pipelines in a DevSecOps environment, while performing performance testing and defect triage. Strong communication and independent, agile collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing and test automation experience.
• Experience with device-based systems (UI/embedded) and/or back-office systems.
• Hands-on testing on Windows and Unix/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

Role

• Lead end-to-end testing for an integrated e-payment system, including smart card and back-office components.
• Own the full test lifecycle: test planning, requirement analysis, test design, environment setup, and execution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using scripting/programming languages for functional, API, and UI testing.
• Build and maintain automated testing pipelines in a DevSecOps environment to support CI/CD.
• Perform performance tuning and execute performance testing on payment systems.
• Ensure full traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects. Identify and close gapsLog, track, and verify defects to closure.
• Conduct defect triage with development and business teams.
• Perform root cause analysis for production and UAT defects.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Conduct test review sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Create and maintain technical documentation: test strategies, design documents, and user manuals for test automation solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in software testing and test automation for device-based systems (UI/embedded) and/or back-office systems.
• 3+ years hands-on testing experience on Windows operating systems.
• Strong experience with API testing, database validation (SQL), and test automation frameworks.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools: Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD, Confluence.
• Familiarity with security testing plugins preferred.
• Experience testing on Unix/Linux, Embedded systems, or Cloud environments is an advantage.
• Exposure to Micro-payments, Automatic Fare Collection, or Smart Card systems is an advantage.
• Experience across SIT, UAT, and Performance Testing phases.
• Knowledge of API security testing and microservices validation is an advantage.
• ISTQB or other software testing certification is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in Agile teams.
