Job summary

Absolut PohTeo Investment Holding is seeking a Test Engineer to own end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system in Singapore. You will plan tests, design cases, and automate procedures while coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining test pipelines within DevSecOps frameworks.

The role requires strong Windows testing experience, familiarity with Unix/Linux or embedded systems, and a proactive, collaborative mindset. Certification in software testing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering.
• At least 5 years of testing and test automation experience with devices or back-office systems.
• Minimum 3 years of testing on Windows OS.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, Embedded systems or cloud-based testing is a plus.
• Familiarity with SDLC from requirement to deployment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Certification in software testing is preferred.
• Experience with API security testing or microservices security validation is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities

The scope of Test Engineer shall include the following:

• Responsible for the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system;
• Carrying out the activities in the testing lifecycle including test planning, analyzing business and system requirements;
• Preparing the test environment, designing and developing the test cases, executing the test procedures;
• Automating the test solution based on the system design using scripting or programming languages as well as performance tuning;
• Creating traceability to requirements, analysing gaps and addressing them;
• Logging and tracking defects to closure;
• Conducting test reviews with internal and external stakeholders;
• Performing root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, address test gaps to ensure test efficiency;
• Developing design documents and user manuals which would effectively describe and provide clear instructions on the test automation solution to the end users who include testers and stakeholders; and
• Implementing and maintaining automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps frameworks to integrate comprehensive testing

Qualifications & Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering;
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in executing testing and developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment;
• At least 3 years of testing experience on Windows operating systems;
• Experience in testing on Unix/Linux or Embedded systems or cloud- based testing environments would be an added advantage;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;
• Certification in software testing preferred;
• Experience in Micro-payments/Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing) would be an advantage;
• Experience in DevSecOps tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms with security plugin integration would be an advantage; and
• Experience with API security testing automation and microservices security validation would be an advantage.
