Job summary

A Loop Pte. Ltd is seeking a Test Engineer to drive end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system. The role includes test planning, requirements analysis, and developing automated test solutions, with a focus on efficiency and defect resolution.

You will work across UI, embedded, and back-office components, ensuring comprehensive coverage, traceability, and coordination with stakeholders in a DevSecOps environment.

Qualifications

• Ter tiary qualification in IT or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of testing and test automation experience.
• Experience with Windows/Unix/Linux or embedded systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system.
• Plan tests, analyze requirements, and design test cases.
• Create and maintain automated test pipelines within DevSecOps.
• Log defects, perform root-cause analysis, and verify fixes.
• Coordinate test reviews with stakeholders and ensure traceability.
• Develop design docs and user manuals for test automation.
• Conduct performance and basic security testing as part of lifecycle.

Job description

Responsibilites:Responsibilities:

The scope of Test Engineer shall include the following:

• Responsible for the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system;
• Carrying out the activities in the testing lifecycle including test planning, analyzing business and system requirements;
• Preparing the test environment, designing and developing the test cases, executing the test procedures;
• Automating the test solution based on the system design using scripting or programming languages as well as performance tuning;
• Creating traceability to requirements, analysing gaps and addressing them;
• Logging and tracking defects to closure;
• Conducting test reviews with internal and external stakeholders;
• Performing root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, address test gaps to ensure test efficiency;
• Developing design documents and user manuals which would effectively describe and provide clear instructions on the test automation solution to the end users who include testers and stakeholders; and
• Implementing and maintaining automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps frameworks to integrate comprehensive testing (functional, performance, and basic security testing) throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering;
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in executing testing and developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment;
• At least 3 years of testing experience on Windows operating systems;
• Experience in testing on Unix/Linux or Embedded systems or cloud-based testing environments would be an added advantage;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;
• Certification in software testing preferred;
• Experience in Micro-payments/Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing) would be an advantage;
• Experience in DevSecOps tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray,
• GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms with security plugin integration would be an advantage; and
• Experience with API security testing automation and microservices security validation would be an advantage.
