Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD seeks Return Right Ambassadors to support public engagement at Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) locations during operational hours. You will educate residents on the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS) and guide users on correct use of the machines.

The role requires standing for extended periods, willingness to work evenings and weekends, and a commitment through 26 December 2026. Islandwide deployment; salary is 15 SGD per hour.

Qualifications

• Commitment for full contract period (Oct–Mid Oct to 31 Dec 2026).
• Willing to work evenings and/or weekends with schedule changes as needed.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods in public settings.
• Punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Educate members of the public on identifying eligible BCRS containers.
• Guide residents on the correct use of Reverse Vending Machines.
• Encourage proper recycling behaviour and answer basic public queries.
• Monitor RVM usage and flag operational issues to supervisors or vendors.
• Maintain a positive, approachable, and neat appearance at all times.
• Ensure the deployment area remains tidy and safe.

Role Overview

Return Right Ambassador will be deployed at designated Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) locations to support public engagement during operational hours. The role involves educating residents on the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS), guiding users on correct use of the RVMs, and ensuring smooth on-site operations.

The Beverage Container Return Scheme aims to:

• Increase the recycling rate of beverage containers and reduce the amount of waste disposed of as well as carbon emissions; and
• Raise consumer awareness on the importance of recycling and encourage good recycling practices.

Job Scope

• Educate members of the public on identifying eligible BCRS containers
• Guide residents on the correct use of Reverse Vending Machines
• Encourage proper recycling behaviour and answer basic public queries
• Monitor RVM usage and flag operational issues to supervisors or vendors
• Maintain a positive, approachable, and neat appearance at all times
• Ensure the deployment area remains tidy and safe

Requirements

• Able to commit for the full contract period (Until December 26)
• Willing to work evenings and/or weekends, with flexibility to accommodate last-minute schedule changes based on deployment requirements
• Comfortable standing for extended periods in public-facing environments
• Punctual and committed

Skills

• Friendly, confident and comfortable engaging the public
• Able to communicate clearly
• Basic understanding of recycling or environmental initiatives preferred (training will be provided)
• No prior experience is required, customer service or outreach experience is an advantage

Contract Period: Oct-Mid Oct to 31 Dec 2026
Working Hours: Up to 5 days per week (Comprising both Weekdays and Weekends deployment, 40 hours per week)

Salary: $15/hr
