Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Return Right Ambassador to be deployed at designated Reverse Vending Machine locations to support public engagement during operational hours. You will educate residents on the BCRS, guide users on correct use of RVMs, and help ensure smooth on-site operations.

The role requires availability for a 5-day work week, including evenings and weekends, with travel to deployment sites island-wide.

Qualifications

• Able to commit for the full contract duration.
• Willing to work evenings and/or weekends, with flexibility to accommodate last-minute schedule changes based on deployment requirements
• Comfortable standing for extended periods in public-facing environments
• Comfortable with travelling as locations are determined based on operational requirements
• Punctual and committed

Job description

Role Overview

Return Right Ambassador will be deployed at designated Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) locations to support public engagement during operational hours. The role involves educating residents on the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS), guiding users on correct use of the RVMs, and ensuring smooth on-site operations.

The Beverage Container Return Scheme aims to:

a)Increase the recycling rate of beverage containers and reduce the amount ofwaste disposed of as well as carbon emissions; and

b)Raise consumer awareness on the importance of recycling and encourage good recycling practices.

The Scheme will also aggregate clean and high-quality recyclables which can be made into new products.

Under the Scheme, a 10-cent refundable deposit will be applied on all pre-packaged beverages in plastic and metal containers ranging from 150 millilitres to 3 litres. The deposit will be fully refunded when customers return empty plasticor metal beverage containers at designated return points, including reverse vending machines.
