Job summary

Singapore General Hospital PTE LTD seeks an Engineer (Telecommunications) to deliver reliable, secure telecommunication services and oversee PABX, IP telephony, and related systems to ensure high availability and scalability. The role acts as SME for telecom services, providing technical advisory and guiding planning and technology adoption.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in IT/engineering related field.
• Certifications in relevant telecom platforms are advantageous (Avaya, Cisco, NEC, Microsoft, AWS, Azure).
• Experience in enterprise telecom infrastructure is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder mgmt skills are required.
• Vendor management and procurement support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendors for maintenance and support of PABX and IP telephony systems.
• Monitor system performance, upgrades, patches, incident resolution, and failover.
• Coordinate with network, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams for secure telecom solutions.
• Provide technical input for new developments and technology initiatives.
• Act as SME for telecom systems, evaluating solutions and supporting planning.
• Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and drive service improvements.
• Support procurement and contract management activities, including evaluations.
• Assist in budgeting and lifecycle management of telecom systems and services.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and business cases for management.
• Manage telecom-related projects to ensure timely delivery.
