Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Singapore is seeking a Diploma-qualified Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming and outgoing aircraft components, and to ensure conformance to technical data. You will use SAP for work orders and perform inspections per SOP, with night shift/overtime as required.

Candidates should have 2 years of relevant experience or be keen to pursue aerospace; strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, with good teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• 2 years relevant experience in inspection equipment/visual inspection or keen to pursue aerospace.
• Good understanding of SOPs and technical instructions.
• Strong MS Office and SAP knowledge.
• Meticulous with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to work Night Shift and OT as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming and outgoing aircraft component parts.
• Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of repairable parts to ensure conformance to related documents and required repairs.
• Ensure parts are repaired according to the prescribed standards and procedures.
• Understand the current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the product being inspected and with other forms of information.
• Carry out SAP transaction and make necessary changes to works order in SAP.
• Attend EH&S training programs and takes personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
• Support the continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.

• 2 years relevant experience in using various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids or no experience who are keen to pursue aerospace industry.

• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).

• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and SAP.

• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude towards change management.

• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commit to work on Night Shift and overtime on need basis.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Relevant aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering experience.

• Familiar with the relevant air worthiness and regulatory agencies requirements
