Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Singapore seeks a highly skilled aviation maintenance professional to lead MRT operations across the Asia-Pacific region. You will manage events, coordinate with global teams, and ensure clean export-control clearance and high airworthiness standards.

The role requires hands-on gas-turbine engine experience, CAAS certifications, and the ability to travel internationally on short notice for extended periods. A strong emphasis on collaboration and safety is essential.

Qualifications

  • CAAS B11, B13, C14, C15, M10/L11/L12 certification or equivalent is required.
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation experience with hands-on gas-turbine engines.
  • Knowledge of gas-turbine engine construction.
  • Experience troubleshooting service-related problems on P&W engines.
  • Ability to interpret technical standards, drawings, specifications and other documentation.
  • Professional team player with a positive, adaptable attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel internationally on short notice and for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as needed.
  • Multi-tasking abilities with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with P&W engine models is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operations of the MRT team and support to customers in Asia Pacific, including events administration and export-control clearance checks.
  • Perform and certify maintenance tasks, repairs, and defect rectifications on Pratt & Whitney Canada engine series.
  • Maintain high airworthiness standards during inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with Engine Programs, FSMs and CFirst for on-site maintenance support and minimum engine downtime.
  • Manage customer situations with technical expertise and professional communication.
  • Plan and coordinate MRT maintenance schedules and work scopes with customers.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Engineering and Quality teams for MRT events.
  • Travel frequently to customer facilities across the region for on-site maintenance and support.
  • Provide in-shop support as assigned.
  • Support engine field recommendations/troubleshooting queries from customer FSM/CRM cases.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental practices, report unsafe conditions and suggest improvements.

Job description

What You Will Do
  • Day‑to‑day operations of the MRT team and provide MRT support to customers in the Asia Pacific region, including events administration and export‑control clearance checks.
  • Perform and certify maintenance tasks, repairs, and defect rectifications on Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) engine series in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the highest standards of airworthiness during inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with Engine Programs, Field Support Managers (FSMs) and Customer First (CFirst) to provide on‑site maintenance support and achieve minimum engine downtime.
  • Manage customer situations through technical expertise, professional communication and responsive support to enhance confidence in P&W products and services.
  • Liaise with customers to plan and coordinate maintenance schedules, define MRT work scopes, and facilitate commercial and payment arrangements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Engineering and Quality—to ensure successful deployment and completion of MRT events.
  • Travel frequently, often on short notice, to customer facilities across the region for on‑site engine maintenance and technical support.
  • Provide in‑shop support as assigned.
  • Support engine field recommendations/ troubleshoot queries from customer/FSM/CRM cases.
  • Work in accordance with accepted safe and environmental practices, report unsafe conditions, and make safety suggestions.
