Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Singapore is seeking a seasoned aerospace engineer to provide technical support and oversee engine overhaul scopes under the Fleet management Program (FMP). You will review service bulletins, analyze out-of-manual conditions, and coordinate with OEMs, airlines and authorities to ensure compliance and timely shop visits.

A degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of aerospace MRO experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret technical data, drawings and engine manuals (SB, SPM, EM and CIR).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Projects, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP/SOLUMINA is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to achieve engineering and quality excellence.
• Review and define engine workscope instructions for shop compliance during engine shop visits.
• Analyze SBs and provide timely information to the shop.
• Investigate out-of-manual conditions and propose engineering solutions for engine repair/overhaul.
• Coordinate with OEMs, airline customers and authorities for documentation and reporting.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects within the department.
• Assist Engineering Management on special projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to achieve engineering and quality excellence.
• Mainly working on full/partial engine overhaul workscope under the Fleet management Program (FMP). You will review and provide engine workscope instructions to the shop for compliance with engineering data during the engine shop visit.
• Perform review of Modification Service Bulletin (SB) and provide timely information to the shop when applicable
• Analyze out-of-manual conditions and provide engineering solutions in relation to engine part repair and overhaul processes
• Liaise and coordinate with engine OEM, airline customers and aviation authorities for engine condition documentation and reporting
• Work proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution
• Communicate with customers on out-of-manual repair approval thru eCARS system
• Propose creative engineering solution to reduce engine turn time and shop visit cost
• Liaise with the OEM and subcontractors on engine investigation and repair processes
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects to bring change to the department and company
• Assist the Engineering Management in special projects

Requirement

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in aerospace MRO setting is preferred but not mandatory
• Able to interpret technical data, drawings and engine manuals (SB, SPM, EM and CIR).
• Good working knowledge in MS Office applications (Words, Excel, Projects, and Power Point).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
• Working knowledge in SAP, Solumina is preferred but not mandatory
• Versatile worker who is able to work well in a team setting and independently.
• Ability to think and process information in the macro and micro level.
• Highly motivated and innovative individual who is meticulous
