Job summary

Alcon in Singapore's Tuas Plant is seeking a Technician III in the Chemical Production Department. You will be responsible for routine and non-routine processes of chemical formulations ( lens materials, PAA supply tank, Phosphate Buffer Solution and Saline) Operations in our Tuas Plant.

A typical day will include performing production processes, maintaining calibration, documentation, inventory, maintenance and compliance; training on required technical, quality compliance and safety SOPs; and

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Min 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable to lift loads up to 25-30KG.
• Forklift Licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and non-routine processes in chemical production operations.
• Helps manage and maintain chemical production calibration, documentation, inventory (i.e. cycle count), maintenance and compliance.
• Assumes full responsibility in maintaining training on the required technical, quality compliance and safety SOPs.
• Participates and/or initiate projects that improve process efficiency and/or reduce operating cost.
• Knows, understands and complies with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) guidelines. Reports any unsafe conditions, injuries, illnesses and hazardous material releases.
• Knowledgeable in safe handling of chemicals/waste disposal.
• Supports implementation of Data Integrity (DI) Program for the site.
