Job summary

Sunningdale Tech Ltd in Singapore seeks a seasoned Quality Inspector to perform First Article Inspections and ensure dimensional accuracy for new tooling and projects.

You will work with internal teams, maintain FAIRs, document measurements, and develop measurement instructions while upholding GMP quality practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of FAI experience in plastics or manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with CMM and VMM equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and data documentation.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article Inspections for new projects.
• Measure dimensions using CMM/VMM and other tools.
• Record results in FAIR reports.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve FAI issues.
• Develop measurement instructions for new parts.
• Support QC in validation of measurement programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) for parts produced from new projects, new tooling, transferred tooling, Engineering Change Notice (ECN) tooling, and repaired tooling.
• Perform dimensional and functional measurements using appropriate measuring and testing equipment in accordance with product drawings and specifications.
• Compile and record inspection results in the First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) for customer submission.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues related to First Article Inspection activities.
• Develop and maintain Measurement Instructions for new parts and products.
• Support the Quality Control team in the preparation and validation of First Article measurement programs.
• Conduct Annual Layout Inspections in accordance with customer and quality requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of inspection records and reports.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in First Article Inspection (FAI), preferably within the plastic injection molding or manufacturing industry.
• Able to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, with working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficient in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Vision Measuring Machines (VMM), and various quality inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with quality inspection methodologies, measurement techniques, and reporting requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Possess good analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
