Job summary

British Club, The in Singapore is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the Club's buildings, facilities, plant and equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will respond to requests, perform troubleshooting across electrical, plumbing, ACMV, carpentry and painting, coordinate with contractors, keep accurate records, and support events with setup and maintenance.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in building, hotel, clubhouse or facilities maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, ACMV, mechanical systems and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently with practical problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, service‑oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the Club's buildings, facilities, plant and equipment.

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure all facilities are safe, operational and maintained to a high standard.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and servicing.
• Monitor contractors to ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with the Club's standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work reports and asset information.
• Support the setup, dismantling and maintenance requirements for Club events and functions.
• Comply with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and always maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Participate in emergency response and perform after-hours maintenance when required.
