Job summary

ALL FOR PORTS PTE. LTD. is seeking a field service technician to install, maintain, repair, and service various air conditioning systems at client facilities in Singapore.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and keep accurate service records. Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints, commissioning systems, testing performance, and performing emergency repairs to minimize downtime while communicating in English and Mandarin with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
• Ability to meet physical job requirements (lifting, confined spaces, hot outdoor environments).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and service split, window, and cassette AC systems.
• Review blueprints and manuals to install and commission systems.
• Test systems and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance, clean filters, chemical washes, and overhauls.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
• Replace damaged equipment like compressors and fan coil motors.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergencies; prepare service reports.
• Follow safety procedures and client requirements to ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with team and communicate in English and Mandarin with clients.
• Work weekends/public holidays when necessary.

Job Summary

You will install, maintain, repair, and service various air conditioning systems in client facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate service records.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and service split units, window, and cassette air conditioning systems within client facilities
• Review blueprints and technical manuals to accurately install and commission air conditioning systems
• Test systems for proper functioning and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning filters, chemical washes, and overhauls to ensure efficient operation
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions in air conditioning systems
• Replace or repair damaged equipment such as compressors and fan coil motors to restore system functionality
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, servicing, repairs, and emergency requests to maintain client satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and prepare detailed service reports for client endorsement
• Follow safety procedures, service standards, work instructions, and client requirements to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete assigned tasks and adapt to evolving job responsibilities
• Communicate clearly in English and Mandarin, both verbally and in writing, to engage with clients and stakeholders in the region
• Meet physical job demands including bending, kneeling, standing, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces and hot outdoor environments
• Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills
• Work on weekends and public holidays when necessary

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years of related work experience
• Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in air conditioning, electrical, mechanical engineering or suitable equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including bending, kneeling, standing, lifting heavy equipment, and working in limited spaces and hot outdoor environments
