Job summary

ROYAL OCEAN MARINE ENTERPRISE PTE. LTD. seeks a Technical Superintendent to oversee safe, reliable, and cost-efficient operation of assigned vessels. You will lead day-to-day technical operations, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance while supporting vessel management teams.

Key duties include budgeting, dry-docking supervision, audits, and mentoring Chief Engineers and crew to uphold safety and performance across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent maritime discipline.
• Chief Engineer Unlimited CoC is highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of sea-going experience as Chief Engineer / 1st Assistant Engineer, or 2+ years onshore as Technical Superintendent.
• Strong knowledge of class rules and international maritime regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily vessel technical operations and maintenance.
• Plan, budget, and supervise dry-docking, major repairs, retrofits, and shipyard activities.
• Maintain full compliance with ISM, ISPS, MLC, MARPOL, SOLAS, and class rules.
• Prepare, monitor, and control operational budgets; review technical PO variances.
• Lead root‑cause analyses for technical failures or incidents; drive safety improvements.
• Mentor Chief Engineers and shipboard staff with technical guidance.
