Job summary

MOL Global Ship Management Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Technical Superintendent to lead maintenance planning for assigned vessels, monitor works, and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards across LNG/LPG fleets.

You will manage surveys and certificates, coordinate insurance, spares, and budgets, and drive performance with strong communication between vessels and the office. A Chief Engineer’s Certificate is required, with relevant LNG/LPG experience and leadership skills

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency.
• Minimum 2 years LNG/LPG sailing experience at management level or minimum 2 years superintendent experience.
• Good understanding of Dual Fuel Engines, LNG Cargo containment and handling system.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vessel maintenance plans for assigned vessels.
• Monitor vessel maintenance works based on the maintenance plan.
• Evaluate maintenance standards on board, including reporting and execution of breakdown/defect maintenance.
• Manage Survey & Certificates.
• Prompt management of incidents and accidents, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Prepare inspections and dry dockings including regular written reports.
• Maintain latest versions of vessel plans and manuals.
• Arrange spares, stores, lubricants, paints for vessels and cost control budgets.
• Coordinate activities between vessels and office; daily performance monitoring.
• Implement the company’s Objectives of the team
• Marine casualty management as per IMS
• Appraisal of crew on board for the vessel in charge

Job description

Job Responsibilities:-

Technical Superintendent shall report to Fleet Manager and shall have the responsibilities to:

• Prepare vessel’s maintenance plans for assigned vessels
• Monitor of vessel’s maintenance works based on the vessel’s maintenance plan
• Evaluate the maintenance standard on board assigned vessels, including reporting and execution of breakdown/defect maintenance.
• Management of Survey & Certificates
• Prompt management of incidents and accidents, including root cause analysis and preventive measures
• Timely preparation of inspections and dry dockings including regular written reports
• Maintain the latest versions of vessel plans and manuals
• Arrangements, costing and attendance for insurance repairs
• Arrangement of spares, stores, lubricants, paints etc. for vessels
• Prepare the vessel budgets, including regular updates of budget and cost control
• Management of environmental, safety standards and maintenance advice to vessels
• Vessel visits at stipulated intervals and submission of visit report
• Co-ordination of activities between vessels and office
• Daily performance monitoring of the vessels
• Implement the company’s Objectives of the team
• Marine casualty management as per IMS
• Appraisal of crew on board for the vessel in charge
