Job summary

A maritime management company in Singapore is seeking a Technical Superintendent specializing in LNG vessels. The successful candidate will manage reporting and data analysis for vessels, ensuring they meet the owner's policies. A minimum of 3 years in a related role and significant sailing experience on LNG vessels are necessary. This position emphasizes proactive technical management and reporting on vessel condition and performance to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity on LNG vessels.
• Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with significant sailing experience on LNG vessels.
• Experience in dry docking and technical management is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of PMS and SMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage regular reports from assigned vessels and file them systematically.
• Carry out data analysis on costs and KPI factors to assess ship health.
• Maintain data quality in the Ship Manager system.
• Maintain data quality in the Ship Manager (GL) system.
• Draft dynamic work plans with vessel command and report progress.
• Visit vessels as required and report on condition, repairs, costs, and safety.
• Prepare technical specs for dockings & pre-purchase inspections in Asia.
• Assist with technical analysis for new purchases.

Responsibilities

• Manage regular reports from vessels assigned to him/her and file them in a structured approach.
• Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessel.
• Carry out regular data analysis of costs, PMS and other KPI factors in order to ascertain health of the ship as far ship management is concerned.
• Maintain structure and quality of data fed into Ship manager system by crew onboard the vessels (GL system).
• Formulate a dynamic work plan and action list with the vessel's command, to ensure that the vessel is maintained in accordance with the Owner's policy and to receive regular reports as to its progress.
• Visit the vessels as and when required and reporting on general condition, repairs and maintenance, crew performance, safety, environmental protection, and any actions required. Discuss with Ship's Command the work plan, running costs, spares and stores and other issues of concern and reporting on same.
• Prepare technical specs for dockings & pre-purchase inspections in Asia region.
• Assist in carrying out technical analysis for new purchases.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

• Min 3 years of experience in similar capacity on LNG Vessels
• Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with minimum sailing experience preferably on LNG vessels. Otherwise, sailing experience on LNG Vessels is required.
• Prior experience in dry docking and technical management will be an advantage
• Candidate should have good knowledge of PMS and SMS system
