Job summary

Caliber8 is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the technical and operational management of a tanker vessel fleet based in Singapore. You will supervise safe, reliable operations, coordinate maintenance, dry-docking, and fuel efficiency programs, and work with Masters and engineers to meet regulatory standards.

You should have sailed to Chief Engineer on tanker vessels and have proven shore-based Fleet Manager or Technical Superintendent experience, with strong knowledge of ISM,

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the technical and operational management of a fleet of tanker vessels and to be based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned tanker vessels.
• Provide technical guidance and support to vessel crews and shore-based teams.
• Monitor vessel performance, maintenance, repairs and dry-docking activities.
• Ensure vessels comply with company procedures and international maritime regulations.
• Manage budgets, maintenance costs and technical projects.
• Work closely with Masters, Chief Engineers, owners and external stakeholders.
• Support inspections, audits, vetting and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues across the fleet.

Requirements:

• Must have sailed to Chief Engineer on tanker vessels.
• Proven shore-based experience managing tanker vessels in a Fleet Manager / Technical Superintendent capacity.
• Strong knowledge of tanker operations, maintenance and regulatory requirements.
• Good understanding of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, SIRE and vetting requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Singapore-based candidates preferred.
