Responsibilities

• Engage consultants and system integrators to design network cabling and data centre solutions.
• Prepare and review product specifications to meet customer requirements and codes.
• Support sales with technical enquiries, demos, data sheets and samples.
• Deliver technical presentations and workshops for customers and partners.
• Coordinate supplier training and manage RMA cases with suppliers.
• Guide internal and external teams on product applications and troubleshooting.
• Assist customers with on-site diagnosis of cabling faults.
• Compare features and evaluate third-party solutions for recommendations.

Monthly Salary: Up to $5000 SGD (Basic)

Working Hours: Fully onsite, Mondays to Fridays (Regular Office Hours)

Job Summary

• Our client is an established distributor of enterprise network connectivity and infrastructure solutions. They are seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to provide technical expertise across structured cabling, ICT infrastructure and data centre solutions.
• The role combines pre-sales solution support, technical training and post-sales troubleshooting. You will work closely with sales teams, consultants, system integrators, suppliers and end-users to recommend suitable solutions, support project specifications and resolve technical issues.

Job Scope

• Engage consultants and system integrators during project design and specification stages to recommend suitable network cabling and data centre solutions.
• Prepare, review and evaluate product specifications to ensure alignment with customer requirements, applicable codes and industry standards.
• Support the sales team with technical enquiries, product demonstrations, technical data sheets and sample boards.
• Conduct technical presentations, product briefings and workshops for customers, partners and end-users, including sessions at suppliers’ experience centres.
• Coordinate supplier certification training, liaising with suppliers and customers and providing practical support throughout the programme.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external partners on product selection, applications and troubleshooting.
• Support customers with on-site diagnosis and troubleshooting of physical cabling faults and performance issues.
• Coordinate technical sample requests and manage Return Materials Authorisation (RMA) cases with suppliers.
• Compare product features, performance and competitive positioning, and evaluate third-party solutions to support technical recommendations.

Job Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling, low-voltage systems, ICT infrastructure and data centre architecture.
• Familiarity with network cabling standards, including TIA/EIA and ISO/IEC, and relevant industry best practices.
• Ability to assess technical specifications and recommend solutions that meet project and customer requirements.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose physical cabling faults and performance issues on-site.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations, conduct workshops and explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with consultants, system integrators, suppliers, customers and sales teams.
