Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Singapore seeks an APAC SEA LLS Technical Service Senior Scientist to provide regional technical service for Beauty, Home & Oral across Southeast Asia. The role leads customer projects, develops formulations, troubleshoots, and collaborates with regional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

You will deliver technical presentations, trainings, and support new product launches while traveling up to 30% to meet customer needs and drive growth in a diverse market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 15+ years experience, or MS/PhD with 10+ years in chemistry/polymer/cosmetic science.
• Beauty or specialty chemicals R&D/formulation experience preferred.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional technical service to Support Lubrizol Beauty & Home & Oral in APAC Southeast Asia.
• Lead technical engagements with key customers, delivering formulation expertise and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain broad application knowledge across Beauty segments (skin care, sun care, makeup, etc.).
• Design, execute, and interpret lab studies and formulation development to meet customer needs.
• Deliver technical presentations and training to customers, distributors, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with regional/global teams to implement technical programs and accelerate projects.
• Monitor industry trends to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation.

The APAC SEA LLS Technical Service Senior Scientist is responsible for regional technical service to support the growth of Lubrizol's Beauty & Home & Oral business across Southeast Asia.

• Provide timely, efficient, and effective technical support to key customers across Southeast Asia.
• Serve as the technical lead for strategic customer projects, driving innovation, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
• Proactively identify, initiate, and manage customer development projects while effectively balancing priorities across multiple business opportunities.
• Collaborate with commercial and regional teams to deliver customer-focused technical solutions and strengthen Lubrizol's market position.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Work closely with the commercial team to prioritize technical resources and support strategic customer projects and high-potential business opportunities.
• Lead technical engagements with key customers, providing formulation expertise, troubleshooting support, and application development solutions.
• Develop and maintain broad application knowledge across all Beauty & Home & Oral segments . Here Beauty includ es skin care , sun care, makeup , skin cleansing and hair care.
• Design, execute, and interpret laboratory studies, formulation development, and performance evaluations to meet customer and business objectives.
• Troubleshoot formulation and application challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions that address customer needs.
• Deliver technical presentations, training programs, and workshops to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regional and global innovation teams to implement technical programs, share best practices, and accelerate project execution.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, competitive products, and market developments to identify growth opportunities and support innovation initiatives.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and market intelligence activities, providing technical insights and recommendations to internal teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regional technical teams to facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
• Support new product launches, customer trials, and commercialization activities to ensure successful market adoption.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular updates on project progress, technical findings, and customer feedback.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

• Bachelor degree with minimum 15 years or advance degree (MS, Ph.D) with minimum 10 years of working experience. Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related scientific discipline is a plus.
• Having the working experience in Beauty or Specialty Chemicals industry, having the role of R&D, formulation experience, or related science position. Home Care and Oral Care experience is a plus.
• Strong technical expertise in Beauty formulation development and ingredient technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English , with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Effective project management and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a diverse, cross‑cultural environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time within Southeast Asia and other regions as required.
