Job summary

FERNS & KRIS MARINE ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a Technical Manager to lead our workshop operations and drive the sales team. The ideal candidate will oversee fabrication, welding, hydraulic and electrical works, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and ISO standards while guiding a team of technicians and engineers in Singapore.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience in shipyard/construction.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably in shipyard/construction.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the workshop and sales activities.
• Supervise and lead a team of technicians, electricians, mechanics, welders, fabricators, and sales team.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing of construction equipment and machinery.
• Implement and maintain workplace safety protocols.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely availability of equipment and materials.
• Prepare tender quotations for new projects.
• Respond to technical queries and supervise sales engineers' tender documents.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to lead our workshop operations as well as lead sales team. The ideal candidate will possess technical knowledge of Fabrication, Welding , Hydraulic & Electrical Works , strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to oversee a team of technicians while maintaining the ISO & standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the workshop and sales activities
• Supervise and lead a team of technicians, electricians, mechanics, welders, fabricators, and sales team
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing of construction equipment and machinery
• Implement and maintain workplace safety protocols
• Implement preventive maintenance programs
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely availability of equipment and materials
• To prepare tender quotations for new projects.
• To response to technical queries, supervise and check sales engineers' documents for tenders and quotations.
• To supervise Marketing Executive(s) and support their daily duties and responsibilities.

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity, preferably in the Shipyard & Construction Industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proficient in inventory management, spare parts control, and safety regulations
• Experience in construction equipment maintenance is an advantage
