Job summary

FERNS & KRIS MARINE ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a Technical Manager to lead our workshop operations and drive the sales team. The ideal candidate will oversee fabrication, welding, hydraulic and electrical works, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and ISO standards while guiding a team of technicians and engineers in Singapore.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience in shipyard/construction.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably in shipyard/construction.
Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the workshop and sales activities.
Supervise and lead a team of technicians, electricians, mechanics, welders, fabricators, and sales team.
Oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing of construction equipment and machinery.
Implement and maintain workplace safety protocols.
Implement preventive maintenance programs.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely availability of equipment and materials.
Prepare tender quotations for new projects.
Respond to technical queries and supervise sales engineers' tender documents.
