You will manage end-to-end delivery with stakeholders, solution architects, engineering, infrastructure, and external vendors. The role requires strong technical understanding, robust governance, and a track record of delivering technology programmes

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects from initiation to production.
• Define scope, timelines, resources, budgets, dependencies, and delivery plans.
• Drive Agile governance including sprint planning, backlog management, and release planning.
• Ensure SDLC/SSDLC compliance and change management processes.
• Collaborate with solution architects, application development, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and engineering teams.
• Coordinate delivery across core banking platforms, enterprise apps, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and integrations.
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and escalation.
• Provide status updates, management reporting, and steering committee presentations.
• Manage communications with business, technology, senior management, and external vendors.
• Oversee SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and production readiness activities.
• Lead deployment planning, production cutover, migration, rollback, and post-implementation activities.
• Ensure regulatory, security policies, risk controls, and governance standards are met.
• Facilitate resolution of technical delivery challenges across teams.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex technology transformation initiatives across digital banking platforms, core banking systems, cloud migration, enterprise integrations, and regulatory programmes. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end project delivery while working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, engineering teams, infrastructure, security teams, and external vendors. This role requires strong technical understanding, project governance capabilities, and experience delivering technology programmes within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects from initiation and planning through implementation and production deployment.
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, resources, budgets, dependencies, and delivery plans.
• Drive Agile project governance including sprint planning, backlog management, release planning, retrospectives, and delivery tracking.
• Ensure projects follow established SDLC, Secure SDLC (SSDLC), technology governance, and change management processes.
• Collaborate with solution architects, application development, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to manage technical dependencies.
• Coordinate delivery involving core banking platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and system integrations.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation.
• Provide regular project status updates, management reporting, and steering committee presentations.
• Manage communication and expectations across business, technology, senior management, and external vendor stakeholders.
• Coordinate vendors and technology partners to ensure deliverables meet agreed timelines, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and production readiness activities.
• Lead deployment planning, production cutover, migration, rollback planning, and post-implementation activities.
• Ensure project delivery complies with applicable banking regulatory requirements, security policies, risk controls, and internal governance standards.
• Facilitate resolution of technical and delivery challenges across multiple teams.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future project delivery.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 9 years of experience managing technology projects within Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience managing end-to-end technology project delivery across multiple business and technical teams.
• Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Hybrid Waterfall-Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience delivering projects involving core banking platforms and enterprise system integrations.
• Good technical understanding of microservices architecture and REST API integrations.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery processes.
• Experience managing projects involving cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Understanding of application security, infrastructure governance, technology risk, and Secure SDLC practices.
• Experience managing SIT, UAT, production deployments, cutover, and post-production activities.
• Strong knowledge of project risk management, change management, and governance processes.
• Proven experience managing vendors and external technology partners.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both senior business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience delivering digital banking or core banking transformation programmes.
• Experience with cloud migration or cloud modernisation initiatives.
• Exposure to large‑scale regulatory or technology risk programmes within financial services.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent technology workstreams.
