Job summary

R SYSTEMS (SINGAPORE) PTE LIMITED is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex banking/fintech initiatives. You will manage digital projects for a retail mobile banking platform, coordinating planning, budgeting, change management and governance to ensure timely delivery with minimal business disruption.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management experience in banking/fintech or financial services.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging both technical and business teams.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus with experience in Agile/Scrum.
• Strong expertise in managing technology obsolescence projects and modernizing legacy banking systems.
• Proven ability to develop business cases and articulate the strategic impact of technology projects.
• Strong presentation skills to pitch ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Direct responsibility for projects with budgets of $10 to $20 million.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that impact one or across business, technology, and enterprising to drive project success.


• Manage all aspects of Digital project and program engagement for retail mobile banking platform from planning, resource planning and budget, change management, risks and issues, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption to business operations.


• Prepare overall implementation plan taking inputs from all stakeholders including technology, business, operations, regulators, etc. and co-ordinate execution by respective owners.


• Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.


• Manage the day-to-day project activities, including chairing project management working committee meetings and facilitating steering committee meetings.


• Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.


• Develop and present business cases with a consulting mindset, providing strategic recommendations for system upgrades, replacements, and process improvements.


• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and technology risk management standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Manage project stakeholders, e.g., escalation, expectation, conflict, scope changes.


• Manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure teams work in a collaborative environment.


• Manage stakeholders expectations through governance processes.


• Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication.


• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.


• Own and manage project scope, timelines, risks, and budget, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders at all levels.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, operations, and product teams, to ensure alignment with business goals.


• Identify dependencies and proactively mitigate risks that may impact project deliverables

Requirements

• 6+ years of project management experience within banking, fintech or financial services


• Excellent stakeholder management, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business teams.


• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus with Experience in Agile/Scrum environment and framework, e.g. sprint planning, sprint review, backlog grooming, etc.


• Strong expertise in managing technology obsolescence projects and modernizing legacy banking systems.


• Proven ability to develop business cases and articulate the strategic impact of technology projects.


• Strong presentation skills and ability to pitch ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.


• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.


• Experienced of having direct responsibility for project with budget size of $10 to $20 million.
