Singapore Power Ltd. is seeking a site supervisor to oversee technicians and contractors for gas pipe repair, connection, testing and termination works. You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while coordinating ad-hoc renewal and diversion projects.
You will prepare SWP briefings, monitor progress, manage work orders, and verify certificates for payments. A proactive, team-oriented candidate with English fluency is preferred.
Supervise the technicians and contractors to ensure repair, connection works, pipe verification and termination works are executed safely and efficiently.
Assist Executives in the execution of ad-hoc renewal / diversion projects as per assigned.
Prepare and conduct briefing of Safe Work Procedure for pipe laying, testing and commissioning of gas distribution works.
Close monitoring of works progress and to be in compliance to Safety, Quality, Gas Act and regulatory regulations, codes and guidelines.
Manage the issuance of works orders, verification of works done and completion certificates for payments to be in accordance to guidelines and policies.
Assess site-specific risks and conduct daily toolbox meeting to identify and mitigate safety risks
Conduct site supervision for 3rd party works to ensure mitigation protection measures for gas pipeline are adhered to.
Ensure that the tools and equipment for related works are adequate and properly maintained for operation readiness.
Assist Executives in ensuring the technicians are competent and trained in carrying out gas pipe connection / repair / testing / termination works.
Carry out emergency standby duties.
Prepare and submit Monthly report statistics for gas mains renewal, repair, diverted, abandoned and written-off
Track and report section’s monthly response in gas enquiry and K2
Track and report section’s OPEX on monthly basis
Collate and submit monthly HSE report
Monitor and update staff competency records on monthly basis
Support the operations with taking minutes during weekly contractors safety contact and monthly section meeting
Monitor, record and issuance of contractor workers’ training attendance/certification
Upload documents onto SharePoint site for recording
Diploma / Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from recognized Polytechnics in Singapore
Good command of written and spoken English
Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude
Able to work independently, as well as in a team and in a challenging environment
Good grasp of using Microsoft applications, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
Possess skills in project planning, execution, and management
Possess skills in statistical analysis and evaluation
Possess a valid driving license and having own transport would be advantageous due to frequent site works
