Job summary

Setsco Services Pte Ltd is recruiting for a technician to perform laboratory and site tests, preparing samples and maintaining equipment. The role requires independence, willingness to work overtime, and a valid Class 3 license.

You will ensure calibration status and timely delivery of results while staying abreast of new testing methods. The candidate should have a Diploma or Nitec in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Comfortable working at height.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime or on weekends when required.
• Possess Class 3 driving license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory/site tests to generate reliable and precise data.
• Prepare test specimens and samples.
• Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment, including cleaning after use.
• Ensure laboratory is well stocked with relevant consumables.
• Maintain calibration status of equipment.
• Record and interpret test results.
• Keep up to date with technical developments to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure on-time delivery of test results.
• Carry out other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor or HOD.

1. Performing laboratory/site test in order to produce reliable and precise data

2. Preparing test specimens and samples.

3. Maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment including washing and cleaning the equipment after use.

4. Ensuring laboratory is well stocked with relevant consumables.

5. Maintaining the calibration status of equipment.

6. Recording and interpreting of test results.

7. Keeping up to date with technical developments, particularly those processes that could save time and improve accuracy of results.

8. Ensure on-time delivery of the test results.

9. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor or HOD
