Job summary

The candidate should hold a degree in Material Science Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with hands-on experience using universal testing machines and digital microscopes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Material Science Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with universal testing machines and digital microscopes preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform material testing of polymer-based materials by following standard test methods; conduct hands-on testing in the lab and on site.
• Prepare documentation, record data and analyze test results.
• Assist in developing new testing methods and procedures.
• Support safety matters by assisting the department safety representative.
• Generate sales quotations and follow up with clients.
• Respond to customer queries for test schedules and results.
• Maintain and update equipment records and oversee maintenance of test equipment.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
• Provide support for laboratory quality management.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for material testing of polymer based materials which includes but not limited to reading up of standard test methods, hands on testing in laboratory and on site
2. Prepare documentation, recording and analyzing of test data
3. Assist in the development of new testing
4. Assist the department safety representative on safety related matters
5. Generating sales quotations and follow up with clients
6. Attend to customers queries for test schedules, test results
7. Manage maintenance of test equipment and update of equipment record
8. Working with the team to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory
9. Provide support for laboratory quality management

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Material Science Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
