Job summary

a dreamworks company pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking a technical sales engineer to drive specification-based business for waterproofing and flooring systems.

You will engage architects, consultants, developers and government agencies, delivering compelling technical content and building project pipelines. The role combines field visits, site guidance, and CPD trainings, with close collaboration to the sales team to convert specifications into contracts.

Responsibilities

• Promote waterproofing and flooring systems to architects, M&E and C&S consultants, quantity surveyors and government agencies.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, specification write-ups, system build-ups and product comparisons for each project.
• Find and track upcoming projects from design stage to award, including residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, MRT and public housing.
• Work with the sales team to turn specified projects into orders with main contractors and applicators.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key specifiers and decision makers.
• Run CPD seminars, technical presentations and product trainings for consultants, contractors and applicators.
• Train and support the sales team on product knowledge and specification selling.
• Keep up with industry standards, BCA and local authority requirements, and competitor products.
• Give market feedback to management and R&D on new product needs.
• Plan and reach specification and sales targets for waterproofing and flooring.
• Keep a project pipeline and CRM records, and report progress to management.
• Support tenders and pricing together with the sales and commercial teams.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events and association activities.

Job description

Key responsibilities

Specification and project development

• Promote waterproofing and flooring systems to architects, M&E and C&S consultants, quantity surveyors, developers and government agencies, so the products are written into project specifications.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, specification write-ups, system build-ups and product comparisons for each project.
• Find and track upcoming projects, such as residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, MRT and public housing, from design stage to award.
• Work with the sales team to turn specified projects into orders with main contractors and applicators.
• Build and keep long-term relationships with key specifiers and decision makers.

Technical support

• Advise on choosing the right waterproofing system for basements, roofs, wet areas, podiums, water tanks, tunnels and other structures.
• Carry out site visits, inspections and surveys. Recommend repair and waterproofing solutions.
• Supervise trial applications and mock-ups, and give on-site guidance to applicators.
• Investigate site problems and customer complaints, and prepare technical reports with recommendations.
• Prepare method statements, technical data, warranties and submissions for consultant approval.

Training and market development

• Run CPD seminars, technical presentations and product training for consultants, contractors and applicators.
• Train and support the sales team on product knowledge and specification selling.
• Keep up with industry standards, BCA and local authority requirements, and competitor products.
• Give market feedback to management and R&D on new product needs.

Management and reporting
