Job summary

avm engineering services pte. ltd. seeks an experienced Technical Manager to oversee the company’s technical operations, engineering activities and project execution.

The role requires coordinating with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure safety, efficiency and compliance with standards. You will lead technical teams, monitor schedules and resources, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in engineering, electrical installation, construction or project management.
• Strong knowledge of technical drawings, specifications and site installation practices.
• Good understanding of Singapore workplace safety requirements.
• Able to manage technical teams and coordinate multiple projects.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
• Candidates with relevant Singapore project experience will have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise technical and engineering activities for company projects.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, manpower, materials and equipment.
• Provide technical solutions and resolve site-related engineering issues.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting works.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable Singapore standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor the quality of completed works.
• Prepare and review technical reports, progress reports and documentation.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate technical discussions with project stakeholders.
• Support project teams in identifying and resolving technical problems.
• Monitor project costs and assist in controlling material and manpower requirements.
• Work closely with the Safety/WSH team to ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements.
• Guide, train and supervise engineers, supervisors, technicians and site workers.
• Coordinate testing, inspection and handover documentation.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, consultants and service providers when required.
• Carry out any other technical or project-related duties assigned by management.
