Job summary

JAC Recruitment Singapore invites an experienced Electrical Engineer / Electrical Project Manager to lead key electrical initiatives for large-scale M&E projects, including data centers and commercial high-rises.

You will oversee design calculations, drawings, and site installations while coordinating with clients and contractors. The role also includes mentoring a team to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years for Engineer; 8+ years for Manager with proven project leadership.
• Strong familiarity with local electrical codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical engineering projects from planning to handover.
• Prepare electrical design calculations, specs, and drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Supervise site installations and ensure safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and execute electrical engineering projects from the initial planning stages through to testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• Review and prepare electrical design calculations, technical specifications, and working drawings to ensure full compliance with project requirements and statutory codes.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, main contractors, and internal project teams to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems with other engineering disciplines.
• Supervise site installations, monitor daily work progress, and ensure that all electrical works are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage material procurement, review vendor and subcontractor submissions, and resolve any technical or site-specific issues promptly.
• Conduct regular site inspections, lead or attend project meetings, and prepare accurate site progress reports.
• For the Managerial role: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and supervisors, optimizing resource allocation and driving overall project performance.

Key Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical building services or M&E projects for the Engineer role; 8+ years of experience with a proven track record in project leadership for the Manager role.
• Strong familiarity with local electrical codes, statutory regulations, and industry safety standards.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD; experience with BIM/Revit is highly advantageous).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach to managing site challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
