Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with 2-4+ years in a technical lead or senior role.
• Strong programming in Java 8+ and modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React).
• Proven design of scalable distributed systems (microservices, event-driven).
• Experience in insurance, banking or fintech services.
• Knowledge of payment compliance, security, and regulations.
• AI-assisted development and debugging with GitHub Copilot Agent mode.
• Cloud (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
• CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• SQL/NoSQL databases, caching and messaging systems.
• Testing strategies, frameworks and observability tools.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication; ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture discussions; own technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Collaborate with Regional Architecture to define the target state for Market tech.
• Manage integration with finance systems, payment gateways, banks and fintech partners.
• Write and review code; contribute hands-on to unblock the team.
• Mentor engineers; provide feedback and support career development.
• Plan and deliver work; estimate effort and drive sprints/releases.
• Ensure quality; enforce reviews, testing strategy, CI/CD, observability.
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Manage technical debt and remediation alongside feature delivery.
• Ensure security, compliance and performance; embed shift-left security.
• Track metrics (velocity, cycle time, defects) and act on insights.
