Job summary

Maersk seeks a driven intern for the Lubricants, Paints and Chemicals procurement category (LUPAC) in Singapore. You will join a technical team, assist in running projects, coordinate with ship crews and shore staff, and gain hands-on experience across supply chain, technical and operations aspects.

The role offers mentorship from industry experts, interaction with global stakeholders, and opportunities to lead assigned tasks while learning new and complex subjects in a fast-paced shipping

Qualifications

• Background in engineering, chemistry, tribology or related fields.
• Experience in planning, tracking and coordinating actions with stakeholders.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data for decision-making.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with practical, cost-efficient problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Project management, planning and coordination of lubrication initiatives to improve vessel efficiency.
• Data analysis and production of summaries for decision-makers.
• Coordinate with laboratories, machinery experts and vessel crews.
• Support category management strategies aligned to stakeholder needs.
• Help develop processes, tools, and standards to improve reliability and simplicity.
