Job summary

KR+D Pte Ltd, a Kingsmen group company, is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Designer to join its growing Retail team. You will transform concepts into buildable drawings from development through construction, coordinating with designers, project managers, and contractors to ensure accuracy and quality.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years in interior/technical design with strong AutoCAD skills and familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, or BIM.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, or a related discipline.
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in interior design, technical design, architectural drafting, or construction documentation.
• Experience in retail, commercial, hospitality, workplace, or experiential projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, BIM, or other 3D modelling tools will be advantageous.
• Basic understanding of construction detailing, materials, and building systems.
• Familiarity with local regulations and authority requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for project execution.
• Support translation of design concepts into buildable, cost-efficient solutions.
• Coordinate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical submissions from contractors and vendors.
• Ensure drawings and documentation are accurate, up to date, and aligned with project requirements.
• Work with designers, project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve issues.
• Support site inspections and monitor construction progress to maintain design intent and quality.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and as-built documentation.
• Identify technical challenges and contribute practical solutions during design development and construction.
• Perform drawing reviews and quality checks for consistency and accuracy.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, materials, construction methods, and technical standards.

A Day in the Life

• Prepare technical and construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for project execution.

• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For
