Job summary

KR+D Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Kingsmen Creatives Ltd, seeks a hands-on Technical Designer (AV Systems & Experiential Technology) to drive design, integration, and delivery of audiovisual and interactive systems for experiential projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of audio, video, and control systems, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Visio. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical feasibility and seamless project execution.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Multimedia Technology, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Interactive Media, Entertainment Technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant AV systems design, systems integration, technical design, multimedia installations, or experiential technology.
• Experience in museums, galleries, attractions, visitor centres, exhibitions, themed entertainment, or experiential environments is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop AV system concepts and technical solutions based on project requirements.
• Prepare AV schematics, signal flow diagrams, equipment schedules, rack layouts, and system documentation.
• Translate creative concepts into practical technical solutions involving audio, video, control systems, show control, and interactive technologies.
• Work closely with designers, content developers, multimedia teams, and project managers to ensure technical feasibility and seamless integration.
• Coordinate with suppliers, systems integrators, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend AV equipment and technology solutions suitable for each project.
• Review technical submissions, shop drawings, and system designs from vendors and consultants.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Conduct system testing and verification to ensure performance meets project objectives.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and control system issues during installation and commissioning.

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on and technically driven Technical Designer (AV Systems & Experiential Technology) to support the design, integration, and delivery of audiovisual and interactive systems for experiential projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, troubleshooting technical challenges, and continuously learning new technologies.

Key responsibilities

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Multimedia Technology, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Interactive Media, Entertainment Technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in AV systems design, systems integration, technical design, multimedia installations, or experiential technology projects.
• Experience in museums, galleries, attractions, visitor centres, exhibitions, themed entertainment, or experiential environments is highly advantageous.
• Experience supporting projects throughout design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Good understanding of Professional Audio Systems, Video Distribution Systems, Projection Systems, LED Display Systems, Media Servers, Show Control Systems, Interactive Technologies, Control Systems, Networking Fundamentals, Equipment Integration.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio.
• Highly proactive and naturally curious.
• Passionate about technology and learning new systems.
• Hands-on and enjoys troubleshooting technical issues.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical and analytical skills.
