NOVA-TECH MFG PTE. LTD. seeks a proactive Technical Buyer to manage purchasing for production, maintenance and engineering materials. You will work with Engineering, Operations and suppliers to ensure materials meet technical requirements, arrive on time and at competitive prices.

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in Engineering, SCM or related field, with 3–5 years in purchasing in manufacturing settings. SAP or ERP experience and strong Excel skills are preferred.

Competenze

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics or precision engineering.
• Experience purchasing MRO items, tooling, fixtures, machine parts or engineering components is an advantage.
• Able to understand basic engineering drawings, specifications and BOMs.
• SAP or other ERP purchasing experience is preferred.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Buyer to manage purchasing activities for production, maintenance and engineering materials. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Production and suppliers to ensure materials meet technical requirements, are purchased at competitive prices and arrive on time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for MRO items, tooling, cutters, fixtures, spare parts, consumables and other technical materials.
• Review purchase requests, technical specifications, engineering drawings and datasheets.
• Clarify technical requirements with Engineering, Maintenance and Production where necessary.

About you

• Able to understand basic engineering drawings, technical specifications, bills of materials (BOMs) and datasheets.
• SAP or other ERP purchasing experience is preferred.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills and data-analysis ability.
• Strong supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation and negotiation skills.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with different departments.
