Job summary

V-ELEGANT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect to own the technical architecture for a large-scale SAP transformation in a public-sector/defence context.

Lead end-to-end design assurance, architecture, and integration across on-premise and sovereign-cloud environments. The role requires 12+ years of SAP technical expertise, with multiple S/4HANA implementations and strong security and performance focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of SAP technical experience.
• At least 5+ years as an SAP Technical/Solution Architect.
• Minimum 2 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations with landscape, integration and security ownership.
• Strong experience with S/4HANA on HANA, landscape design, sizing, HA/DR.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite/PI-PO, APIs and legacy systems.
• Security architecture expertise including IAM/SSO, encryption, network segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end S/4HANA technical architecture, including landscape, HANA, sizing, HA/DR.
• Design deployment topology for on-premise, air-gapped or sovereign-cloud environments.
• Define integration architecture using SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, APIs, OData, IDoc and BAPI.
• Define security architecture including encryption, IAM/SSO, access controls.
• Govern SAP transport strategy and CI-CD processes with Basis teams.
• Own NFRs covering performance, scalability and availability.
• Lead performance, volume and load-test strategy with Testing teams.
• Define data migration architecture and technical cutover runbook.
• Provide technical design assurance and sign-off against criteria.
• Collaborate with Functional Architects, Basis, Security, Data Migration, Integration and Testing teams.

Position: SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect to own the technical architecture and provide end-to-end technical design assurance for a large-scale SAP transformation programme in a public-sector / defence environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end S/4HANA technical architecture , including system landscape, HANA database, sizing, High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
• Design deployment topology for on-premise, air-gapped or sovereign-cloud environments , including network segmentation and classified-data handling.
• Define integration architecture using SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, APIs, OData, IDoc and BAPI .
• Define security architecture covering encryption, key management, IAM/SSO, access controls and system hardening .
• Govern SAP transport strategy, DevOps/CI-CD processes and system refresh/copy strategy with Basis teams.
• Own non-functional requirements (NFRs) covering performance, scalability and availability.
• Lead performance, volume and load-test strategy in coordination with Testing teams.
• Define the technical architecture for data migration and develop the technical cutover runbook.
• Provide technical design assurance and sign-off against agreed project and contractual acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with Functional Architects, Basis, Security, Data Migration, Integration and Testing teams.

Required Experience

• Minimum 12+ years of SAP technical experience .
• At least 5+ years as an SAP Technical / Solution Architect .
• Minimum 2 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations where the candidate owned: SAP landscape architecture, Integration architecture, Security architecture.
• Strong experience with S/4HANA on HANA , landscape design, sizing, HA/DR and infrastructure architecture.
• Strong integration experience with SAP Integration Suite / PI-PO, APIs and legacy systems .
• Experience with security architecture, IAM/SSO, encryption, network segmentation and system hardening.
• Strong understanding of performance engineering, capacity planning and NFR management .
• Experience with data migration architecture and cutover planning .
• Public-sector / defence experience is highly preferred, particularly restricted, classified or air-gapped environments .

Education & Certifications

Mandatory

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline .
• SAP certification in a relevant technical area such as S/4HANA System Administration, HANA or Integration .
• SAP Activate awareness.

Preferred

• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
• SAP BTP / Integration Suite certification.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor .
• Relevant cloud/infrastructure certifications.
• Existing or previous Singapore security clearance .
