Job summary

INSTAD ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to produce and review mechanical design drawings and calculations, resolve design issues, and support construction projects.

The role involves experiments, data analysis, and evaluating product performance to ensure quality and safety across HVAC/MEP systems in line with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of M&E installation, current practices, codes, and authorities’ requirements (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set design criteria and verify design calculations and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals to meet project requirements.
• Maintain and verify completeness of project records and documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical problems encountered during design and construction phases.
• Prepare detailed product reports and supporting documentation.
• Inspect fire rated board installation, noting down and photographing installation work.
• Liaise with authorities, client, and consultants to execute work per specifications.
• Evaluate product performance, reliability, and safety to ensure quality standards.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

• Liaise with authorities, client, and consultant to execute the work according to the specification and authority’s requirements.

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the construction industry


• Bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Relevant project experience in HVAC/ACMV/MEP systems design and project management


• Strong knowledge of M&E installation, current practices, codes, and authorities’ requirements
