Job summary

SUN SIONG ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems tailored to various requirements. This role entails performing load calculations, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and sustainability standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD MEP and Revit are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in HVAC/R design and project execution.
• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) is preferred.
• Project coordination experience is preferred.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, piping, and control systems, tailored to specific building and process requirements.
• Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and energy modeling to ensure optimal system sizing and efficiency.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment based on thermal requirements and client specifications.
• Advice drafting team on updates / changes on mechanical drawings, layouts, and specifications whom uses CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit).
• Ensure designs and systems comply with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards (BCA, ISO, etc.).
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and contractors during project execution.
• Prepare documentation including technical reports, cost estimates, and operation manuals.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in HVAC/R design and project execution.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and control strategies.
• Project coordination experience.
