Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Tech Risk & Controls Lead to advance risk management across Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, supporting Commercial and Investment Bank, Payment Technology.

Lead a diverse team, guide policy implementation, and collaborate with product owners and regulators to uphold risk standards and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes leveraging AI capabilities to synthesize evidence, validate outputs, and drive executive-ready reporting while ensuring data sensitivity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related fields.
• 5+ years in technology risk management, information security, or related field.
• Experience in payments or financial services with payments processing.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in data security, risk assessment & reporting, control evaluation, and governance.
• Ability to influence executive-level decisions and translate tech insights into business strategy.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI within risk/controls workflows.
• Ability to validate AI-assisted risk summaries and ensure security/auditability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and management of technology risk, focusing on root cause analysis and resolution recommendations.
• Develop and maintain robust relationships, becoming a trusted partner with LOB technologists, assessments teams, and data officers to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and progress toward shared goals.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate synthesis of risk/control evidence and draft executive-ready reporting, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• Execute reporting and governance of controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, offering senior management insights into control effectiveness and inform governance work.
• Proactively monitor and evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to strengthen risk posture and regulatory compliance.
• Promotes reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches to streamline recurring control testing and issue/action-plan management routines, ensuring human review and alignment to auditability and regulatory expectations.
