Job Title: Technical Project Manager (IT Infrastructure - Data Center)

Location: Malaysia

Department: IT Infrastructure / Data Center Reports To: Head of IT / Data Center Operations Director Position Overview

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with strong experience in IT infrastructure and data center environments to lead and deliver critical IT projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of network, server, and storage systems, combined with excellent project coordination skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English, Mandarin, and Malay with regional teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver end-to-end IT infrastructure projects across data center environments (deployment, migration, upgrades, system integration).
• Plan project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets in collaboration with technical and business teams.
• Oversee the implementation of network systems, virtualization platforms, storage, backup, and security solutions.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, vendors, and clients to ensure project milestones are met.
• Lead change management, testing, and commissioning of IT systems in production environments.
• Ensure compliance with data center operational standards, cybersecurity, and SLA requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, status updates, and management reports.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support the handover to operations and ensure smooth transition to BAU (Business-as- Usual).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects, preferably within data center or mission-critical environments.
• Strong technical understanding of:
• • Networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing, switching)
  • Servers and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Linux, Windows)
  • Storage & backup solutions
  • Data center standards and best practices
• Experience in vendor management and working with regional teams.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and project methodologies (Agile / Waterfall).
• PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Malay (both written and spoken).
