Job summary

Sembcorp Utilities in Singapore seeks a Senior Tech Lead to design, deliver, and continuously improve secure, scalable full-stack applications and microservices. You will guide an internal engineering team with primary delivery on Microsoft Azure, while collaborating with adjacent platforms and data teams.

You will also design AI-enabled workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and platform integration patterns, with strong emphasis on security, observability, and operational excellence across enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in a Tech Lead, Lead Developer, or Senior Full Stack Engineer role delivering enterprise-grade software.
• Experience designing and deploying microservices architectures in large-scale environments.
• Experience deploying on Microsoft Azure with CI/CD pipelines, integration services, and container deployments.
• Experience deploying AI agents or intelligent automation in production or near-production.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.
• Strong English written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture standards, guardrails, and patterns for quality, security, and scalability.
• Design, deploy, and optimise microservices architectures and API integrations.
• Lead software engineering teams, coordinate delivery plans, and perform code reviews.
• Design and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflow solutions across enterprise apps.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with product, data, cybersecurity, and infrastructure stakeholders to map requirements to architectural roadmaps.
• Integrate applications with Azure services including messaging, data platforms, and analytics environments.
• Oversee lifecycle management, production support, incident resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute hands-on to backend, frontend, API development, testing, and documentation.
