Job summary

HeyMax is a Singapore-based fintech startup hiring a Tech Lead to design AI-augmented development workflows and own architecture across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.

You will recruit, mentor engineers and ship impactful features across mobile, backend, and data platforms for 100,000+ users in multiple markets. Expect fast iteration, strong collaboration, and a culture of experimentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical depth in Mobile (React Native), Backend, Infrastructure, Data, or AI.
• AI-Augmented Development Experience: daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).
• Proven Technical Leadership: led projects from conception to completion, scale.
• Systems Thinking: design end-to-end workflows and optimize the entire pipeline.
• Technical Breadth: proficiency across multiple languages and modern stacks.
• Leadership & Communication: inspire a team and communicate clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define the AI-First Development Playbook across the lifecycle: spec, code, review, test, deployment.
• Lead and inspire the team, fostering experimentation with AI tools.
• Hands-on coding to demonstrate AI-augmented development.
• Own architecture and technical direction for scalability across regions.
• Collaborate with product, design, and business to translate requirements into solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence with quality standards and observability practices.
• Build the team’s AI muscle by onboarding and sharing patterns.
