Job summary

HeyMax is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build meaningful fintech products with direct user impact. You will design, implement, and ship high-value features that enhance how users earn, track, and redeem rewards across markets.

You will leverage AI tools to accelerate development, contribute to system design, and stay close to code while mentoring peers and driving reliability as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive software engineering experience delivering complex projects end-to-end.
• Technical depth in one or more areas: mobile, backend, infrastructure, data, or AI.
• Experience building and operating production systems used by real customers.
• Strong product sense with ability to trade off under ambiguity.
• Active use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar.
• Strong communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical teammates.
• High ownership mindset focused on outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build high-impact features that improve how users earn, track, and redeem rewards.
• Apply AI-augmented development across daily workflow.
• Own technical design decisions balancing speed, reliability, and maintainability.
• Stay hands-on and write clean, maintainable code.
• Improve observability and tests to keep systems reliable as we scale.
• Collaborate with product, design, business, and operations.
• Mentor through code reviews and pairing.
