Job summary

Vopak in Singapore is seeking a Team Leader to ensure smooth, safe terminal operations and day-to-day activities, guiding a competent operations team. You will drive efficiency, uphold safety standards, and foster a culture of trust and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes investigations, scheduling, regulatory compliance, and audits, with opportunities for growth through hands-on leadership and cross-functional teamwork in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of terminal operations experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience as Team Coordinator.
• Knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the smooth and safe execution of all operations in the terminal
• Lead the team in investigations, troubleshooting and problem solving of incidents and abnormal observations
• Manage manpower administration, workflow scheduling and communication
• Lead in effective shift briefings and ensure key management objectives are communicated in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance of local regulatory and company’s standards
• Manage and prepare for all audits, e.g. customers, ISO, regulatory, THA and safety audits
• Deliver customer expectations and standards
• Train and supervise Operations team members to ensure they are competent in their jobs

Your Mission

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth and safe execution of all operations and day to day activities in the terminal.

What will you be doing?

• Lead the team in investigations, troubleshooting and problem solving of incidents and abnormal observations
• Manage manpower administration, workflow scheduling and communication
• Lead in effective shift briefings and ensure key management objectives are communicated in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance of local regulatory and company’s standards
• Manage and prepare for all audits, e.g. customers, ISO, regulatory, THA and safety audits
• Deliver customer expectations and standards
• Train and supervise Operations team members to ensure they are competent in their jobs

Does this sound like you?

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent
• 3-5 years of relevant terminal operations experience in similar industry
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Team Coordinator
• Wealth of hands-on knowledge of terminal operations and in depth site-specific knowledge
• In depth knowledge of products, equipment and a seasoned SHE expert
• Knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations
• Ability to manage multiple party communication and operate under stress critical
